There are a number of incentives available to help you with the purchase of your new PV system as well as credits you can earn over time. The majority of the systems we design and install pay for themselves in less than 7 years and then become revenue producers!
State Incentives:
There are rebates for residential systems available in MA up to $4,250 and up to an additional $5,000 if you live in a community affected by the tornado last Summer. Transformations, Inc. is an expedited installer with the MA Clean Energy Center and will submit and process your rebate for you. MA also offers a onetime $1,000 Income Tax Credit.
MA SREC Market:
If you choose to purchase a system you can earn one Solar Renewable Energy Credit for every 1,000 kWh your system produces.
Federal Tax Credit:
30% of your systems cost can be paid for in the form of a Federal Tax Credit with no maximum value.
Net Metering:
Net Metering allows you to receive credits from your utility for the power your system produces. While the sun is shining you are feeding power back into the grid. At nighttime or on cloudy days you use the credits you have earned while the sun was shinning.
